How to Reset Your Life Before 2026: 6 Things You Must Know
2026 is less than 2 months away, and there’s no perfect time to reset your life than now!
It is time to restructure and have working systems that will serve you now and in 2026.
There are two types of people realizing that 2026 is almost here;
- The one who decides to just let the time pass
- And you, who decides that change takes effort, and it is never too late
Honestly, the time will pass anyway, so why not invest in things and habits that will serve you
There are approximately 60 days left in the year, and it only takes 21 days for a habit to stick.
You literally have at least two tries to form new patterns before 2026.
It is also important to consider that this period is a time when we relax by default because the holidays are approaching.
But if you’re in a space where you feel change is necessary, this is not the time to relax the routines until you attain your goals.
Now, how do you actually reset your life before 2026? Let’s get into it.
How do I change my life before 2026?

The easiest and most effective way to change your life before 2026 is to look at what you do on a daily basis.
This includes doing an assessment of your life and being honest with where you are and where you want to be.
I will provide a practical approach on how you can do this step by step.
1. Ask yourself, where am I at NOW?
Reflect on every aspect of life, mental, relationship, career, etc.
Write it down and compare where you lag behind, what are you not happy with?
This will help you find which area(s) need the most help.
Also, you will be able to find who you are, truly, what matters to you most, and what you are passionate about.

For instance, without asking yourself where you are now, there is no way to find what goals you prioritize or what defines you as a person.
You will also be able to form a self-concept that you identify with, and if who you are now does not work for you, you can elevate that.
A simple example can be finding out that you postpone a lot or fail to stick to plans.
This way, you can see where you are now in this aspect, which will help you create effective solutions that will help you implement new habits.
I mentioned earlier that it only takes 21 consecutive days for a habit to stick, and when you are intentional with this process, trust me, things will work like literal magic.
2. Reflect on the goals you set when 2025 started

Do an honest review of the goals you set and where you are now.
The thing about change is that you need to be so honest, the kind of honest you wouldn’t say out loud, hahaha.
But an honest assessment of your goals and the progress you have made (or not, it’s perfectly fine) will help you determine what direction to take.
Plus, don’t beat yourself up if you find that little or no progress has been made.
This is the time to make changes, not feel bad about what could have been done.
If I am to be transparent, I would say that the amount of time one takes to regret what they could have done is A LOT!
Plus, the energy used to think this way is the same energy one would use to create solutions and proactive steps on resetting life before 2026.
So, look back to the beginning of the year, ask yourself;
- Where did you want to be by the end of 2025?
- What positive progress has been made?
- What did I not pay attention to at all (or gave little attention)?
3. Reflect on your current routines

Routines basically make or break us.
Ask yourself, what are my current routines and how are they serving me?
To create the life of your dreams, it is important to create routines because it will be easier to predict success.
Using the simplest example, if you put one cup of water into a bucket every day, there will come a time when the bucket will become full.
In the same way, a good routine or a bad routine will definitely show up in your life because everything works in a cause-effect pattern.
So, instead of waiting for an unwanted effect, intentionally create the cause so that you can have your desired effect.
This applies in any area of life.
And remember, there is never something for nothing.
This means for you to live the life of your dreams and be your best self before 2026, you must be willing to make the necessary changes, no matter how hard.
But don’t worry, once you have the will, you are halfway here.
4. Create new routines

After reflecting on your current routines, create new ones that are intended to serve you.
You can do this by sectioning out your day to give it structure or you can have a more relaxed approach as long as you ensure what needs to be done for the day is completed no matter what.
Also, merge your current good routines with the new ones and make sure they don’t clash.
The goal here is to create rhythm and structure into your daily life, which means elimination of unnecessary chaos.
5. Declutter

Clean your space to have a cleaner environment, which will promote your new YOU to stick.
But you don’t have to overwhelm yourself.
You can declutter in phases because doing it all at once can be exhausting.
But when done step by step, you are also helping restructure your brain chemistry to adapt to the new you.
Remember, we are creating a better you by design.
6. Don’t pressure yourself too much

Lastly, please don’t give yourself too much pressure.
Remember to breathe!
Life does not have to be perfect in less than 60 days.
It is okay to admit that your process might need more time, but what matters is that you start now!
Doing something towards resetting your life before 2026 is better than letting the time pass by just like that.
So, live life under your own terms! (but intentionally of course).
That’s all for now! Until next time, xoxo
